Wind Control is the coordinated management of air speed, compression, direction, and continuity during trumpet playing.
Many players use either too little air or too much uncontrolled force. Problems with endurance, consistency, attacks, flexibility, and tone quality are often connected to poor wind control rather than lack of strength.
In the Clarke–Gordon tradition, wind control works together with Wind Power, The Tongue, and the other coordinated principles of correct playing.
