Teaching

Students have won the Music Teachers National Association Competition at the SC Junior & Senior level (flute and oboe),  the Southern Division Junior level (flute) and had a Junior National Woodwind Finalist (flute).
She also had students get honorable mention and runner-up in the SC and Southern Division MTNA on flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon.
For the past ten years she has had at least one oboe student sitting first chair in a SC All-State Band plus first and high chairs in other woodwind sections.
Students have performed with the Carolina Youth Symphony, Greenville County Youth Orchestra and students who have been accepted to programs such as North Carolina School of the Arts, Brevard Music Center and Sewanee Music Festival.
Her written work on woodwind doubling was cited at the 2008 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA.
